PHANTOM OF THE OPERA

I have known about phantom for many years, largely thanks to Linsay Ellis's videos about it. However, I finally watched phantom in April of 2025. Now I have seen many versions of it because I think it kinda sucks, but in an "I'm obsessed with this now, I guess" sort of way.

novel: genuinely just not good, the worst version of this story i have read thus far

1925: decent!

1943: kind of boring

1962: pretty good, but not as fun as the musical adaptations can be

paradise 1974: probably my favorite, the atmosphere in this movie was amazing

2004: terrible but really funny

2011: pretty good!

love never dies: even more terrible and somehow similarly funny
